Spicy bean burgers

My university housemate Arainu and I had an expression “to be bean burgerd” for when we had eaten too much. This came from over eating some delicious bean burgers. These burgers are not available in Norway, so I’m still experimenting to find the right ingredients to make my very own bean burgers. Todays trial turned out great, the recipe follows.

    Spicy bean burgers
    1 can large white beans
    1-2 tbsp garbanzo bean flour
    1/4 tsp minced garlic
    1/4 tsp minced ginger
    1/2 tsp minced chili
    1/4 tsp ground coriander
    1/4 tsp ground cumin
    1/2 tsp ground hot paprika
    Sprinkle of oregano
    Salt and pepper

Rinse the beans well and mash with a fork or masher. Add the flour and spices, mix well and make into 4 patties. Fry on a pan in some oil.

Served with salad, figs and avocado. The salad today consisted of ruccola, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a goji berry and seeds salad mix.
